The fire service men in a swift response from various units across the state were moving towards the area to put out the fire. However, the fire was eventually put out around 6.00 am.
According a resident the possibility of leakages and bunkering are not ruled out as causes of the explosion.
Along the Ejigbo-Idumu axis there have been leakages where the pipe was laid for the past three years incessantly. The leakages have spread to houses in Ejigbo, Idimu and Isheri Olofin areas.

The wells in those areas have been polluted due to the leakages leaving the residents with no water.
As at the time of this news there is no report of casualty and damages.
