Rafa Benitez Or Jurgen Klopp: Who Is Real Madrid’s Best Choice?
The football world continues to buzz following Carlo Ancelotti’s not-so-surprising sack from Real Madrid.
President Florentino Perez had decided to terminate the legendary Italian’s contract, despite him bringing them their long-awaited 10th Champions League trophy.
Rafa Benitez has reportedly been lined up to replace the former Milan manager, although some sources say Dortmund’s Jurgen Klopp is also in the mix.
Benitez, who is a Spaniard, seems to be the better choice for Perez who wants instant success, and his managerial experience in Spain — including Real Madrid’s B team — gives him an edge.
Klopp, on the other hand, has won the admiration of many people for the attractive football he played at Borrusia Dortmund, and at 47 years of age, has a long future in football ahead of him.
Benitez has another edge in the fact that he has won the Champions League before, the trophy which is the jewel of Perez’s eye.
