Yusuf Suleiman Lasu Elected House Of Reps Deputy Speaker

Yusuf Suleiman Lasu (Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu/Irepodun of
Osun state) of the APC has been elected the deputy speaker of the House
of Representatives.
According to NTA News, the politician beat Tahir Monguno of the PDP with 203 votes to 153. He was sworn in by the clerk of the National Assembly, Salisu Abubakar Maikasuwa, PM News adds.
Earlier today Yakubu Dogara emerged speaker of the House of Representatives and Bukola Saraki – Senate president. Both outcomes generated series of reactions. The All Progressives Congress rejected the results calling the election “unacceptable”.
However, President Muhammadu Buhari took the view that a constitutional process had somewhat occurred.
